Job Description

 

The role of Campus Pastor (CP) for Unite Community Church Wyandotte, includes casting UCC’s central vision and mission to the local campus, developing and empowering volunteer leadership teams, providing pastoral care to the congregation and contributing to ministry growth and maturity in Jesus.

 

Full-Time and/or Part-Time Options Available

 

OPTION 1- Part Time- 20-25 hours per week.  Campus Pastor Role ONLY includes Sundays and Office Hours.  Hours may be flexible depending on the events and activities. 

 

OPTION 2- Full Time- 40-50 hours per week.  Campus and Student Pastor Role.  Includes Sundays, Mid Week Students, and Office Hours.  Hours may be flexible depending on the events and activities.

Responsibilities

​

Pastoral Leadership

• Oversee the weekend services, including the worship experience, children’s ministry, welcome, teaching and communion

• Create a welcoming atmosphere by engaging and establishing relationships, providing direction for next steps and helping people find a place to grow

• Collaborate with central staff to develop teaching and sermon content 

• Lead the Wyandotte Campus into spiritual maturity using UCC’s 3G Discipleship Model (growth model based on “Go, Group and Go”)

• Fulfill pastoral care responsibilities (weddings, funerals, baptisms, counseling, etc.)

• Evaluate and follow up with all connect cards for prayer needs, info requests, etc.

• Monitor and report monthly defined metrics, oversee campus budget and expenditures.

Teams Leadership

• Be a strong supporter and coach for all teams and ministries at the Wyandotte Campus 

• Give leadership and vision to Small Groups, First Impression, Worship, Kids, and Outreach directors.

• Set and help execute goals with directors of each department

Student Leadership: (Filling this role creates a FULL TIME position)

• Responsible for sustaining and building an effective student ministry on location.  Fills the position of “Student Pastor”. 

• Create and lead programs and environments for students to accomplish the mission and vision of UCC

• Create a curriculum for students 6th-12th grade

• Lead student staff
